Bourbon County Released Inmates
A release ends one custody placement. It does not always mean the person walked free. The Bourbon County Regional Detention Center, also branded the Regional Jail, holds state, county, and city inmates. Its roster is expressly for current detainees. When a name leaves that roster, the underlying event could be bond, a court order, time served, probation, parole, transfer, a data correction, or an outage. The jail's booking and release record is the strongest source for the physical exit. A signed court order explains the legal authority. The receiving agency proves whether custody continued elsewhere.
The status labels matter. Probation is community supervision ordered by a court. Parole is conditional release under the state parole system. Discharge means the relevant sentence or supervision obligation ended. Time served means credited custody satisfied the term identified by the controlling order. A detainer is another agency's request or basis to hold or receive a person. These events must not be collapsed into the broad word “released.”
- Community release
- The person leaves confinement after all applicable orders and holds are addressed.
- Transfer
- One jail stay ends, but another agency or facility takes custody.
- Discharge
- A sentence or supervision period reaches its lawful end.
- Shock probation
- A court orders probation after a period of confinement.
Bourbon County Release Types
Each release type points to a different next record. The official jail portal may show charges and a bond amount for someone still held, but it does not establish that money was posted or processing finished. State inmates housed locally may move to a Kentucky prison or structured release. Regional prisoners may return to the county that controls their case. The disposition field and destination are therefore as important as the exit date.
| Release type | What it means | Best next source |
|---|---|---|
| Bond or recognizance | A court-authorized local release after applicable terms and holds are resolved | Jail release sheet and bond or release order |
| Dismissal or acquittal | The case outcome may authorize release, unless another hold continues custody | Correct county court file and jail exit record |
| Time served or sentence end | The credited local or state term reaches its endpoint | Judgment, sentence calculation, and actual release record |
| Probation or parole | Confinement ends while community supervision begins or resumes | KOOL, court order, and District 14 |
| Transfer | The Bourbon placement ends while confinement continues elsewhere | Receiving jail, KY DOC, USMS, BOP, or ICE |
Escape and death can end a roster entry but are not released-inmate events. A medical move may also preserve custody. When the local code is unclear, request the code legend or a staff explanation already maintained by the jail.
Bourbon County Bond Release Proof
The official jail site describes its current-inmate portal as showing charges and bond information. A listed amount shows a possible release mechanism, not a completed release. It does not prove payment was accepted, a surety was approved, every detainer cleared, or jail processing ended. Confirm the actual release date and time through the jail, then obtain the bond or release order from the court that controls the case.
Bourbon County Release Record Fields
No public Bourbon County release-record template was found. A focused request should identify the person and booking, then ask for existing fields that establish what happened. Not every field will exist or be public. The agency is asked to produce records it maintains, not to create an explanation or new report.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name and identifiers | Links the event to the correct person, especially when names are similar |
| Booking number and admission | Ties the release to one custody episode and its start time |
| Committing agency and charges | Identifies the jurisdiction and recorded basis for custody |
| Actual release date and time | Records when the Bourbon placement ended |
| Disposition or reason | Distinguishes bond, time served, probation, parole, transfer, or another event |
| Authority or order | Connects the physical exit with a court or correctional decision |
| Destination or receiving agency | Shows whether the person entered another custodian's control |
| Hold disposition | May show whether another agency's detainer was cleared or executed |
A booking photograph can be requested separately with the booking number and date. A person may have several custody episodes, so a photo alone is weak identity proof. Preserve the original disposition wording and exact date label. “Proposed release,” “parole eligibility,” and “actual release” describe different events.
Request Bourbon County Release Records
Kentucky's Open Records Act permits a written request by hand delivery, mail, fax, or email. An agency may not require only its own form, and the standardized state form must be accepted. The ordinary response period is five business days. Bourbon County publishes no dedicated jail-records form, counter hours, release-record price, or booking-photo fee. Email or mail is useful because it preserves the wording.
- Identify one booking. Give the full name, date of birth or age, approximate booking date, and booking number if known.
- Ask for existing fields. Request admission and actual release time, disposition, authority, destination, and the booking photograph.
- Choose the right custodian. Send the jail request to the detention center. Send case orders to the clerk in the charging county.
- Request electronic delivery. Ask for native electronic records and a fee estimate before copying.
- Preserve the response. Keep any redaction, statutory citation, proposed availability date, or referral to another custodian.

If a weekend or date-range list is needed, define exact start and end timestamps and request an existing release log or database extract. Ask whether the report includes transfers. Kentucky law does not require the jail to create a new report that it does not maintain. KRS 61.874 generally limits noncommercial reproduction charges to actual copying cost, but no Bourbon jail price was found.
Bourbon County Release Record Law
KRS 61.872 governs access procedure, while Kentucky's broader KRS 61.870 through 61.884 framework defines records, costs, response duties, and exemptions. A denial should cite the applicable law and explain why it applies. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, confidential supervision, victim, and sensitive investigative material may be withheld or redacted. Public access depends on the specific record and facts.
No local release-retention period was verified. Older court files may be stored away from the courthouse or destroyed under judicial schedules. Expungement may remove or restrict an eligible arrest or case record under KRS Chapter 431. Expungement means qualifying official records are removed from ordinary public visibility after a court process. It is not proof that every separate custody record or copied image vanished at the same time.
Bourbon County Release Fees
The jail links to Pay My Jailer, but it publishes no release-specific fee schedule and no statement that portal activity controls a release. Financial administration is a separate channel. The Bourbon sheriff's published prices for accident or theft reports and accident-photo discs also do not apply to jail release sheets or booking photographs. Ask the detention records custodian for a written estimate tied to the requested copies.
No conclusion about a named person's custody status, debt, or release should be drawn from a payment screen. The jail release record and the controlling court order remain the sources for the event.
Find Bourbon County Released Inmates
Bourbon County does not publish an official recent-release archive. The reliable search follows the last known custodian and keeps local, state, federal, and immigration systems separate. Start with enough identifiers to distinguish the person: full legal name, aliases, date of birth or age, booking date, case number, and jail or corrections number when known.
- Rule out current Bourbon custody. Check the official current-inmate portal. A listing supports current local custody. Absence proves nothing by itself.
- Confirm the jail exit. Call 859-987-2137 and ask for the actual date, time, disposition, and receiving agency.
- Get the written record. Request the booking and release sheet when verbal confirmation is unavailable or precision matters.
- Follow the controlling court. Obtain the docket and release, bond, dismissal, judgment, sentence, or probation order from the charging county.
- Check statewide status. Use KOOL and VINELink Inmate Search if state custody, supervision, or a reported release event is plausible.
- Follow a transfer. Search the receiving county, KY DOC, BOP, federal docket, USMS channel, or ICE locator based on documented facts.
For a same-day question, the jail and source systems are fastest. For older Bourbon County released inmates, written jail, court, DOC, and federal records are more durable. The 24-hour and 72-hour release-list procedures require exact date-window records because no public feed exists.
Kentucky Released Offender Search
Kentucky Offender Online Lookup, known as KOOL, is the official state custody and supervision search. Begin with few fields, usually first and last name, then match the result through DOC or PID number, age, conviction, and location. An Active Inmate status means custody continues. Parole or Probation with supervision dates and a community location supports release from confinement into state supervision. KOOL is not a Bourbon booking archive, and a short local stay may never appear there.
| Search field | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Name and aliases | Start broad; include known aliases when spelling may differ |
| DOC or PID number | Use as the strongest state-record match |
| Supervision status | Separate active custody, parole, and probation results |
| Location or county | Check the reported institution or supervision area |
| Conviction data | Compare offense, KRS code, date, and conviction county |
| Projected release range | Find date estimates, not proof of an actual exit |
Detail records may show Expected Time To Serve, Minimum Expiration or Good Time Release Date, Maximum Expiration, Parole Eligibility Date, and a parole-history Proposed Release Date. These are distinct estimates or legal milestones. Credits, discipline, sentence aggregation, court changes, and parole action can alter them. KOOL warns that data is updated daily and records newer than 120 days may not be finalized. A known state record that no longer appears should be pursued through KY DOC records and the sentencing court.
Bourbon County Recent Release Search
The official Bourbon jail navigation offers Current Inmates, not released inmates. Researchers found no official 24-hour list, 72-hour list, release-date field, archive, sheriff app, or systematic social release feed. The Cadmus portal also failed during the research session. Comparing old and new roster screens can reveal that a name disappeared, but it cannot classify release, transfer, correction, or outage.
The official jail source was captured from the Bourbon County Regional Jail home page. It confirms the current-only label and bond context.
The source supports using the portal to rule out current placement, not to reconstruct a public release list. Request an existing log for exact dates when a broader record is needed.
Bourbon County Structured Releases
The county services description says the regional jail houses state, county, and city inmates and operates work release for Class D and county inmates. The jail staff page also names a Class D coordinator. A person leaving the building may therefore move within Kentucky corrections, enter structured release, or transfer to another placement rather than follow an ordinary short county-jail path.
Check the custody class before interpreting the event. KOOL is appropriate for a state inmate or state supervisee. The court and jail sentence calculation control a local misdemeanor term. A facility exit and a full correctional discharge are not the same thing.
Bourbon Release Court Jurisdiction
The jail's helpful contacts list separate court clerks for Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties. Pendleton County directs jail and bond questions to Bourbon but court questions to its own clerk. The building address therefore does not establish which court controls a person's case. Ask the jail for the committing agency, booking number, and charging county, then request the order from that jurisdiction.
The Kentucky Courts Bourbon source confirms the local clerk and case-copy route.
A docket, bond order, dismissal, judgment, or probation order explains legal authority. Pair it with the jail record to establish the physical exit time and any destination.
Bourbon Regional Inmate Transfers
Bourbon is a regional facility in practice. Pendleton County states that all its adult prisoners are transported to Bourbon. A person may leave Bourbon for a court appearance, another county, or another custodian while legal confinement continues. Destination confirmation matters more than a simple roster check.
For Harrison, Nicholas, Pendleton, or another jurisdiction's prisoner, start with Bourbon for the admission and exit event. Then use the proper county clerk for the case disposition. Search a receiving jail or KOOL when the release sheet records a transfer.
Bourbon County Transport Records
Pendleton publishes an unusually clear division of transport duties. Its sheriff handles overnight weekday transport, weekend transport, and out-of-state extraditions, while its jailer handles weekday daytime in-state moves and court appearances. That schedule shows why a Bourbon roster disappearance can occur during a transport without any community release.
Ask whether the movement was an exit to the community, a temporary court transport, a return to the committing county, or a handoff to another agency. Preserve the receiving agency and event time if the release sheet records them.
Bourbon County Release Supervision
Bourbon County falls within Kentucky DOC Probation and Parole District 14. KOOL is the public verification route. A Parole or Probation status, supervision begin and end dates, and a community supervision location support ongoing state supervision. The official District 14 page lists a Versailles main office and satellites, but no Paris office or public assignment of Bourbon cases to one satellite. Verify the status without guessing at confidential reporting details.
The Parole Board handles eligible felony parole decisions. It does not decide ordinary Bourbon bond or time-served releases. Probation comes from a court, while mandatory reentry supervision has a separate statutory basis. A proposed parole date or hearing result does not prove the person actually left custody.
Bourbon Release Alerts and Locators
VINELink lets a user select Kentucky, search one person by name or jail or DOC identifier, and read the reporting facility and custody wording. Kentucky says a not-in-custody result provides a release date. Phone or email alerts are available, with a four-digit PIN used to acknowledge telephone notice. A surprising alert should be confirmed at the originating jail or DOC because the service depends on source feeds.
Federal and immigration systems cover different custody. The BOP Inmate Locator covers federal Bureau of Prisons records and can show a release date or “not in custody.” That wording is limited to BOP. A federal pretrial person may instead be in USMS custody and require the federal docket. The ICE Online Detainee Locator uses an A-number and country of birth or exact biographical fields. Its short released-person window and a no-result do not prove freedom from all custody.
Bourbon Release Status Sources
Each system answers a narrow question. A result should be reported with its source, access time, facility, identifier, and exact status. When two official sources conflict, first check whether they cover different custody episodes or agencies. Then ask the originating custodian about lag, transfer, or correction.
| Source | Shows | Does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Bourbon current portal | Current local listing and reported charges or bond | Why an absent name left |
| Jail release record | Actual local exit, disposition, and possible destination | Later status in every receiving system |
| Court file | Legal order, disposition, judgment, or probation | Exact physical exit without the jail record |
| KOOL | State custody, parole, probation, and date milestones | Every short local booking or final local release |
| VINE | Source-fed custody status, release date, and alerts | Freedom from all agencies or final case outcome |
| BOP or ICE | Status within the named federal system | Status in state, county, or another federal system |
Bourbon County Detention Facility
Bourbon County Regional Detention Center / Bourbon County Regional Jail is the sole locally identified adult detention facility. It holds a mixed local, regional, and state population. A lawful local release may lead to the community, probation, or shock probation. Other exits may lead to KY DOC custody or supervision, another county, USMS, ICE, or another documented custodian.
No separate state prison, federal prison, municipal jail, or officially designated ICE detention center was found inside Bourbon County. Paris Police is an arresting agency, not a separately published long-term jail. Always follow the recorded destination when someone leaves the regional detention center.
